Climate Change In Seward, Alaska

Johnstone Bay is just south of the Sargent Icefield. It was very recently covered in a massive glacier that has receded in staggering amount over the past century with a marked increase in the last thirty years. While climate change may not be immediately apparent in some parts of the world. Observing the mass amount of such recently uncovered earth at Johnstone Bay, is an experience to remember and to deeply reflect upon. We were honored to have been able to contribute some photos and personal observations to the following articles:
