Join us for a one of kind experience in our gorgeous chalets on the south facing beach of Johnstone bay.

We have two chalets available for reservation. each chalet holds up to four people comfortably. 

​

Open:     May 15th - September 15th 2025

 

We only book 20 full capacity trips a year and we are filling up fast but always inquire even into the summer. This is to give our guests 110% and the best possible experience. We like to make new friends and long lasting memories with our guests. Return guests are automatically given a slot the next year if requested.

We have a two person/three day minimum per chalet reservation and a total of two chalets available.

 

includes: Activities, Lodging, three meals with snacks provided, 

round trip Air taxi via helicopter with marathon Helicopters and or fixed wing with AA Seward air tours. The helicopter holds three people and 500 pounds max payload. The super cub hold one passenger and  500 Pounds.

Make it Private: ​

Both Chalets can be made available for a four-person group for additional booking fee of 1000 dollars. Four person one chalet bookings are subject to another reservation if not reserved in advance due to the remote nature and short operating window.

 

Many custom add on experiences possible. Bring back the chopper mid-week for some fishing or sight seeing.

Both helicopter companies are situated at the seward airport right next to each other. They are both great charter options and are worth booking with, as we have had great experiences with both operators.

Planes:

for one person up to 500 pounds. A great option for a two person, if you want to glide, have a fourth person,  or are on an extended trip and want to bring more gear and cargo.

Getting to Seward From Anchorage: 

Airport Shuttle to and from for $175 a person 

Round trip. Private shuttles are $1500 RT and Uber 

is a great option vs renting a car. Uber is about

$600 roundtrip.

production and film coordination rates: *

Lodging at and accessing Johnstone Bay is very expensive for the lodge and guests due to our remote location. Production shoots require all out assistance, equipment use and coordination. a lot of times shoots don't play out/are not mutually beneficial. We have standard production fee of $1000 dollars a day per person and it includes food and lodging. It does not include airfare or logistics. There is a four day two person minimum of $8000 USD. If you have any other purpose but vacationing the rate does not include airfare. Videographers are not discounted because they utilize the lodge, equipment and also need food. all production must be accompanied with a signed contract and a 50% non refundable deposit upon booking. Self cooking is non- negotiable due to remote location. Meal planning discussion required prior to booking. our main offering is our priority but understand production logistics and will be as flexible as we possible can be to give your production 110 percent.

​​Booking Terms and Agreements with JBAYAKLLC:

• 50% deposit is due at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. Availability is not guaranteed until deposit is received.

• Due to our short season of operation and costs of remote operations we have a clear NO REFUND POLICY on trip deposits. 

• For your security, trip/travel insurance is recommended. 

• We are not responsible for any delays or cancellations due to weather, or circumstances beyond our control.  

•  Maximum 500 pounds payload per helicopter flight included or up to three passengers. additional payload is at the guests expense and can be arranged if needed.

• Guests are required to inform us of any health problems, allergies and physical limitations ahead of time due to our remote location.

• Special dietary requests and needs must be notified in advance of arrival. 

• We Accept all Major Cards, cash and check. 

• All Guests must sign a general liability wavier for assumption of risk.
